Move Beyond Coal are organising actions across Australia for communities to express their concerns about all the new coal and gas projects being approved – despite the approvals being contrary to Australia’s emission reduction targets to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees celcius .

This will be a chance for us to get invoved in the national 12 days of action as one of the fasted growing fossil-fuel regions in the country!

This is a chance to:

• Find out about how EnvA operates and inspire you to get involved - we are the only local group actively advocating for climate action and we need your help!
• Get some great photos and media coverage of our CQ community calling for real climate action, and
• Sign on to petition or letter to our decision-makers to let them know that we can’t keep deal with the rhetoric that we are transitioning to a clean energy future while coal and gas projects are not only being approved, but are being encouraged and subsidised.

Bring a chair, a picnic basket or BBQ foods, and drinks.  Come along and enjoy an afternoon with a purpose!

Together we can show decision-makers that we want climate action now - for the sake of us, our environment and our tax-payer dollar.
