In recent weeks, the Albanese Labor Government has shown their true colours, approving the most polluting fossil fuel project in the southern hemisphere and delivering a dangerously low climate target that sets us on a path to 2 degrees of warming.
Time and again our politicians are siding with coal and gas billionaires, putting all of our lives at risk.
This session on Monday 13th October (5-9pm) is co-hosted by Tipping Point and 350.org Australia and is your chance to:
- Connect with others about where our movement is at. Do we have the power we need to push Labor? What do we need to do differently?
- Hear and feed back on ambitious movement-wide plans to build new power and mass public support for fossil fuel phase out on a scale we’ve never seen before
- Discuss how we can use the potential Australia-Pacific hosting of COP31 in November 2026 as a critical moment to engage our communities and expose Albanese’s climate hypocrisy on a global stage
- Road-test new organising and action materials we’ve developed to help us shift public opinion on fossil fuels and build momentum towards COP31
RSVP is essential for catering purposes. 🍕 Pizza provided.
Come from 5pm for nibbles on the deck. We’ll kick off at 5.30pm with questions to set the stage for our discussion. The main presentations and discussions will start at 6pm.
