You may remember that John Newton, heads up Syndicate 1947 (does Indian business, named after the year of Indian Independence ) told us that insuring the Carmichael coal mine is not within the risk appetite of Syndicate 1947. He said we could quote him, but giving that to us in writing is not within his gift, and we would need to talk to the bosses in Bermuda to get a statement.
We are keeping on keeping on until we push them to give us a statement - feel like we are getting close. so join us to help knock out the last viable Adani Carmichael insurer at Lloyd's.
We are having sessions every Thursday at 7:30 (except 19th, where we will target SBI). At each one, we have a quick get-together to share news and talk about what will do on the night and in the future, then get into on-line action for the rest of the hour. We hope each of us will do more at some time in the week following.
