As Australia turns their greenwashing media machine onto a high spin cycle in the lead up to COP28, these climate justice firebrands call out their bullshit. They’re finding new ways to demand transparency, and an end to fossil fuels, shifting the power to the grassroots.
Walanbaa Ngiiyani|Stronger Together is a new 39-minute documentary, following a motley crew of school students, Pacific Climate Warriors and Gomeroi First Nations Custodians as they come together in northwest New South Wales to visit the ancient lands and waters of the Gomeroi people. Together, they confront the damaging impacts of mega coal mines and gas wells and work to protect lands and lives against the fossil fuel industry. We soon see that in the fight for climate justice we are walanbaa ngiiyani – stronger together.
