Snap protest over Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek's decision to approve her first coal mine

Our movement was out in force on Friday 12 May, after Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek's decision to approve her first coal mine!

Plibersek approved the Isaac river coal mine in Qld and at the same time dismissed the climate impacts of three huge new coal projects, including Whitehaven Coal's Narrabri Underground project which would be one of the dirtiest mines in the Country.

This is an outrageous decision that flies in the face of climate science. So, the Move Beyond Coal movement called a snap rally outside her electoral office in Sydney’s Redfern on Friday!

It's important Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek sees and hears from our movement in this moment - approving her first new coal project as the Federal Environment Minister.
