The country is burning, our communities are sweltering. It’s only spring. A terrifying summer looms. And yet the Albanese Government is pouring fuel on the fire by giving new approvals to coal and gas corporations.

Join us at the iconic Townsville Sign to Turn Up the Heat on Labor as part of a national week of action, and demonstrate that communities, everywhere, want the Labor Government to pick the side of our safety and futures, not corporate billionaires. 

To kick off our Week of Action in Townsville, we will be gathering for a short action at the Townsville Sign. We encourage you to wear red and orange colours, and bring your banners and signs. Our message will be focused on heatwaves: ‘Heatwaves, brought to you by the fossil fuel industry.’
