Walanbaa Ngiiyani | Stronger Together is a 35 minute documentary on the disastrous impacts of coal and gas extraction on communities around Australia and the Pacific.
A one-of-a-kind trip to Gomeroi Country brings together a motley crew of school students, Pacific Climate Warriors and Gomeroi First Nations Custodians, as they share powerful stories of resistance and the devastating impacts the coal and gas industry is having on Country and climate.
The film follows Gabby, Karra and six school strikers as they get up close with the ancient lands and waters of the Gomeroi people in northwest New South Wales, and witness first hand the destruction being wrecked by mega coal mines and gas wells.
As they stand together to protect Country and climate and build a powerful shared resistance, incredible bonds of solidarity are formed and we see that in the fight for climate justice, we are walanbaa ngiiyani - stronger together.
Join the Northern Beaches screening of this important film at 7pm Wednesday 19th June at the Tramshed's Lakeview Hall.
