In february 2020, NAB loaned Whitehaven coal, Australias largest coal only corporation, $110 million dollars. Whitehaven Coal is planning on doubling its coal production by 2030, when Australia sohuld really be transitioning away from dirty fossil fuels if we want to safeguard a safe and liveable future for all Australians. To continue with this expansion, Whitehaven is seeking to renew its funding with the National Australia Bank, to finance 4 massive new dirty coal projects.
Wear red clothes and join the Bass Coast Climate Action Network and the Phillip Island School Strike 4 climate group to tell NAB to stop funding whitehavens dirty coal! Join us to Flood the Wonthaggi NAB branch with our messages of climate justice until they agree to:
a) Rule out all funding for Whitehaven Coal immediately
b) Phone Call NAB CEO Ross McEwan, and let us talk to him.
