Event Description:

"Leave Our Coal" is a community-led event organized by Hope Givers Foundation, taking place on 13 June 2025 in Lilongwe, Malawi. The event aims to amplify local voices against coal mining activities, specifically targeting companies operating in the Kayelekera region. Through community mobilization, peaceful demonstrations, and public awareness activities, we will deliver strong messages demanding an immediate stop to coal extraction. The event will highlight the environmental and health impacts of coal mining, promote clean energy alternatives, and call for corporate accountability and a just energy transition for Malawians.
